As of 2023, there will be three engine options available, with the base model having a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-pot making 241 horsepower and an all-wheel-drive V6 making 260 horsepower. A 311-hp V6 engine with RWD and AWD options is standard on the RC 350. Adaptive suspension and high-performance brakes are added to the F Sport package. Are competitors. This vehicle’s lovely interior and impressive number of standard items make it a pleasure to spend time in, but the driving experience is lacking. The Lexus RC may be a good choice if you’re looking for style and comfort, but if you’re looking for an interesting driving experience, you’d be better off looking elsewhere.
Interior and Exterior
A few years ago, Lexus was known as the Japanese grandpa’s automobile, but when the LFA debuted in 2011, we knew that Lexus was on to something special. We’re pleased to say that the 2023 RC is a superb example of the brand’s cutting lines and ferocious front fascia design. Our favorite thing about the RC is that it has a muscular yet compact design. A set of split-five-spoke alloy wheels with a dark graphite finish will be special to F Sport models in 2023, while bi-LED headlights will be standard on the RC 300. Stepping inside the RC 300 gives you a distinct feeling of athleticism. The interior of the RC is a more straight-forward affair, but don’t get us wrong, it still has a premium feel to it. Engine
The 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder or the classic 3.5-liter normally aspirated V6 are the two options for new buyers to choose from. Both engines have their advantages and disadvantages, but they both have a minor power deficit. With 241 horsepower and 258 lb-ft from 1,650 rpm, the turbo 2.0-liter engine provides a respectable amount of torque at low RPMs, but it soon fades away, and the exhaust sound isn’t all that exciting, to say the least. V6 engines, on the other hand, are buttery smooth. A detuned 3.5-liter V6 is used in the RC 300 AWD and F Sport models, whereas the RC 350 models use a more powerful 3.5-liter V6 that produces 311 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. You’ll be doing a lot of revving with this engine’s maximum torque coming in at a mighty 4,800 rpm. Despite the turbocharged engine’s impressive power, the eight-speed automatic transmission struggles to find gears in V6 RWD-equipped vehicles. The six-speed automatic transmission in AWD vehicles matches the smoothness of the V6 engine, but it is slower to shift because of its age.
Price and Date of Release
Priced to compete with the likes of BMW’s 4 Series and the Infiniti Q60 Coupe, the 2023 Lexus RC 350 is an excellent choice. We’ll start with the RC 300 RWD, which has an MSRP of $41,295 and is the cheapest model in the lineup. This pricing does not include a $1,022 destination fee, registration, or tax. There is an AWD and RWD version of the RC 300 available, and they both cost $43,985 and $46,365, respectively. The RC 300 F Sport AWD is priced at $48,540. Prices for the more powerful RC 350 RWD model start at $44,225, while the AWD model costs $46,390. The RC 350 F Sport, which costs $49,295 in RWD and $50,905 in AWD form, is at the top of the heap.
